King Chamber Business Excellence Award

The King Chamber of Commerce Business Awards are your opportunity to recognize a business that has made a positive contribution in the King Township Business Community. This business must be a member in good standing in the King Chamber of Commerce. Review Sponsorship Package; Award Recognition; Awards Committee details and information, and the Nomination Form below. If you would like to mail or fax your nomination, please print the form. Award presentations will be made at the King Chamber of Commerce Christmas Luncheon on December 11th, deadline for nominations is Monday, November 17th.

Business Person of the Year Award Sponsored by: Foley Restoration,Schomberg
(Individual Award)

This person has clearly demonstrated leadership, growth and made a positive contribution to the business climate in the community.

Business Excellence Awards

Nominated businesses have demonstrated a leadership role in providing Quality and Service, and have made a positive contribution to the King Township Community through their daily actions to the clients they serve.

Business Excellence 1-10 employees Sponsored by: Priestly Demolition, Kettleby

Business Excellence 11+ employees Sponsored by: The Rose Gallery, King City

Environmental and Green Award Sponsored by: The Township of King

This business has clearly demonstrated excellence in energy conservation, the environment and stewardship.

Nomination Criteria: - deadline is November 17th

  • All King Chamber of Commerce members in good standing are eligible.
  • All nominees should have demonstrated good corporate citizenship.
  • All nominees must have a minimum of 2 years business experience.
  • All nominees have clearly made a positive contribution in the business community or created a service that has a positive effect on the King Community.
  • Current King Chamber of Commerce Board members are not eligible.
  • Only active King Chamber business members can vote for any of the awards.
  • Only one vote per membership.

    All Members are invited to nominate a business by filling out our on line Nomination Form.

     Sponsor Package

    Each sponsor will receive the following:

    1. Name on presentation plaque to winner
    2. Name displayed at the awards presentation
    3. Seat at a private sponsor table during the award presentation
    4. Name on The Chamber web site as one of the award sponsors for the year
    5. Picture in Local paper with the award recipient following the event.
    Cost to Sponsor an Award: $200 for 2008

    Recipient Package

    Each Award winner will receive the following:

    1. Plaque to winner
    2. Name displayed at the networking breakfasts in 2009
    3. Name on The Chamber web site for the full year of 2009 as one of the award Recipients
    4. Picture in Local papers following the event.
    5. Recipient will receive a gift certificate of $150 for a restaurant in King Township.
    The Award Committee

    The judging committee will be formed of a panel of 3 members selected by the current chamber board members. The current board will not select or vote on who will receive the awards.

    This group will review all nominations and will inform the board who the award recipients are.

    These names will be announced at the annual award presentation at the King Chamber of Commerce Christmas Luncheon on December 11th, 2008.
